Cap space doesn't mean much this year but it's still 4 million off the books and money freed up to take a bad contract at the deadline from a capped out team. So there are only positives to this move. |

can't edit the earlier comment for some reason, but there is NO fourth rounder going to the Leafs. Misread that from the earlier reimer deal with SJ
so

1st rounder 2016 (30th overall)
2nd rounder (one of Tor, Ott, SJ) 2017
considering that Anaheim gets teh middle pick of the three the leafs can't trade any of those 2nds until they know for sure which one will be the middle one... |

It's gotta suck getting traded when the team that is trading gives you away and a 2nd rounder just to get you off the team.  |
